Parts List

The following list of items is what is required to change your Nintendo DS or DS Lite into a multi-purpose appliance:

  1. A Nintendo DS or DS Lite.  If you have a DSi, you cannot run Game Boy Advance games, as there is no Slot-2 in the DSi
  2. ROM Backup card (We like the AceKard)
  3. A Game Boy Advance backup Card (unless you have a Nintendo DSi)
  4. SD Micro Memory Card (get the 16G one, trust us. If not, be cheap and get the 4g. You’ll be sorry!)
  5. SD Card Reader (for your PC)
  6. A PC with a USB port.
  7. The various Emulator and application files.
  8. Legally obtained ROMs

Additionally, you may need a wireless router and a PC running FTP server, but we digress.  The cost of the backup cards and ram should set you back $100 to $120, depending on the supply and demand at the time.
